About

Written by a tutor, not a content team

I spent a year tutoring English to primary-school kids in Kolkata — the same age group most of this site is written for. This isn't theory. It's what I've actually tried in a room with a real six-year-old who'd rather be doing anything else.

Most sites in this space are written by content teams optimizing for search traffic, not by anyone who has actually sat across from a child who's mixing up "he" and "she" for the tenth time that week. HomeEnglishHub is different because of where it comes from: real tutoring sessions with real kids, in a bilingual Bengali-English household context that most global parenting content completely ignores.

What you'll find here

What this site isn't

It's not a course, and it's not trying to replace a real tutor when your child genuinely needs one. Sometimes the most honest advice is "this is worth hiring someone for" — and I'll say so when that's true.

Have a specific question about your child's English learning? Reach out — I read every message, and it might become the next article.
